About Us
Biola Radio broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the Biola University campus in La Mirada, California. Listeners throughout the world can catch us on our live internet stream at http://biolaradio.biola.edu.
Our primary format features a wide variety of Christian music in all genres – from rock, rap, ska and hardcore, to worship and pop. Biola Radio is also the home of Biola University sports; we will be broadcasting Eagles basketball in the fall (men’s and women’s) and baseball in the spring.
Biola Radio is operated entirely by students. Our students are able to participate in daily station operations by being a show host, DJ, newscaster or sportscaster. On the management side, students learn how to lead through the positions of General Manager, Music Director, News Director and Sports Director. We also offer opportunities in the areas of production, promotions, sales, and programming.
History
Biola University’s student radio program began 30 years ago in February 1978. Now we are serving the student body and a global audience through internet broadcasting.
